Hillside Dermatology

I am a new patient at Hillside Dermatology, however I’m not new to doctor’s offices. I am so impressed by everyone I came in contact with at Hillside. Everyone was happy, smiling, uplifting, and friendly. It’s unfortunate to say, but this is rare these days (or in any days) at health care providers. I don’t remember the last time I went into a medical facility and literally EVERYONE I met was smiling and pleasant. They were very professional, yet also reassuring, while inserting some humor. They gave me a thorough exam and I’ve been known to get nervous about medical exams, but not there! I have fair skin and I feel confident they will keep watching for any skin problems that I may have in the future. Thank you Hillside Dermatology for your amazing professionalism and outstanding patient service. So glad to have found you.

My first time as a patient here, and I am very pleased! Was checked in quickly by a friendly woman, who made me feel welcome. Julia was my dermatologist, and she was friendly and very thorough. She clearly explained what was found, didn't scare me, and did what needed doing. Didn't hurt at all. I highly recommend Hillside Dermatology!

I’m honestly so disappointed with how things have gone with this practice. I’ve been dealing with multiple infections in my thumb nail for the last year and with the nail dying and partially-regrowing, only to get infected repeatedly - never getting better. I’ve spent a couple hundred in co-pays, trying numerous medications and prescription creams. No one seems to know what’s wrong and can’t admit that. I had to practically beg to have treatment instead of doing the “well let’s wait and see what happens” for months visit after visit. Finally got the dermatologist to treat my issue and remove the nail, scheduled the appointment almost 2 months out. I’ve been trying to get an out of pocket cost for the last week for no one to have an answer or tell me. Only to receive a call saying that Melanie doesn’t feel comfortable proceeding with the appointment that she scheduled for me, walked me up front to schedule this appointment. It’s in 2 weeks, I’ve had my partner take time off work to drive me, we live an hour away. I had so much confidence in this practice when I first started coming here and I’m so disappointed and let down. I feel like I’ve wasted so much time and money only to be in the same boat I was when I first started coming here, just minus a lot of money.

Historically, 10/10 service provided. They provide thorough work and actually prescribe what they say they are going to prescribe. Dr's do what they can to help. Recently, one comment I must put out there is: When a Dr is doing a biopsy... make sure the numbing agent is actually working before cutting into the skin! If your patient is wincing and flinching, the numbing medication is not working!!!!! Be more attentive to your patients and ask more questions because not everybody will speak up for themselves! I get it, accidents happen when you're busy and focused heavily on one task, but some things can be avoided... this is one of them. Do NOT continue cutting if the patient is physically and visibly responding to it!!!!!!! Overall, outside of this one and only mishap, I feel this is still a highly worthwhile facility. For Dr's: Please check in more with your patients. For Patients: Please be more open with your providers. Thank you.

Ten out of ten! I am still reeling from the best medical experience I have ever had. -making an appointment was a cinch. -the office is clean with friendly staff who greet you promptly. -I was seen on time. -Olga efficiently went through my history and paperwork. -Jessica MacWilliams is a delight! She is professional, charismatic, quick and on-task… just wow! I would highly recommend Hillside Derm.

What a great experience. My PA suggested a skin exam as part of my annual physical and said that he goes to Hillside himself. I called and was given a new patient appointment the same week due to a cancellation. The intake person was awesome and took me patiently through what to expect. I was sent my patient portal where i was able to fill out my medical history completely and saved me from doing any paperwork at their office. I got there early but I was seen early. PA Julia Fiore was awesome as was her assistant. I would highly recommend to anybody based upon my experience. This was the first practice I've been to where the Electronic Health Records were truly electronic and saved sooo much time.
